A big thank you! for the generous donation from the Hirani family
The members would like to say that to Nandu Lalji & Sumitra Lalji Hirani and all the family for the kind donation of £300 towards the food at this years Diwali 2009 event.
Where were you on the 31st
Oct? Trick or Treating? At a fancy dress party? Or at the KODKI DIWALI function??
This year Kodki Diwali function fell on Halloween. This inspired many young
children to come in fancy dress
costumes. Have you seen the photos yet? see below
Look at the website and you’ll see what
creativity and imagination must have gone behind the costumes. We had Raam,
Lakshman, Sita and plenty more Gods and Goddesses… followed by angels, witches
and demons.
Ladies and children also decorated Aarti plates and divas, did exquisite rangolis and paintings and we had a
beautiful display to showcase it all. The children all received lots of goody
bags, chocolates and sweets. Their efforts (as well as their parents’) were inspirational.
Fancy dress, Pass-the-Parcel, Musical
Chairs, Roti, Bhel, Chips, Raas and Garba; there was something for everyone. The night ended in a dance frenzy and once
the music stopped there were even shouts for ‘MORE!’
What a fantastic event. Kodki should be proud - let’s hope
next Diwali is just as amazing, if not better!
